Further Information:

These workshops are suitable for novices and intermediates and will take place in the stunning setting of the Dartmoor National Park in Devon. On all Dartmoor workshops we will be out working in the field so a good level of basic fitness will be required as some walking on uneven and hilly terrain may be involved and comfortable appropriate footwear is a must. Good walking shoes or boots are recommended and please take into consideration that at times it can be very wet and muddy, so gaiters or comfortable wellies are also a good option to have with you.

You will be expected to wear/carry appropriate clothing for most weathers as on Dartmoor it can be unpredictable and workshops will go ahead unless it is atrocious. It's a good idea to layer up and bring gloves and hats also as the temperatures can dip on Dartmoor resulting in it being chilly at times when you least expect it.

Please bring all of the camera equipment that you want to use on the workshop. It's recommend to bring a sturdy tripod if you own one, although I do have spares which can be borrowed if necessary. A good range of lens lengths is advisable from wide to long, this will enable you to get the most out of your visit. Most importantly please make sure that your batteries are charged and ready to go. Drinks and snacks are a good idea to help keep you going and your energy levels up, and insurance for you and your gear is advisable.

For sunrise shoots you may need to be prepared for an early start. In the summer months you might be expected to be at a predetermined meeting place as early as 3:30am, this is so we can walk out to and arrive at our chosen shoot location in plenty of time pre sunrise enabling you to catch the very best of the emerging first light. If attending for a sunset workshop please also be prepared for a late finish, usually up to an hour after the time of sunset itself.

So, if you would like to join me for an exciting landscape photography workshop full of learning amongst the exceptional beauty of the Dartmoor National Park, please select at the top of this page and follow the instructions to book your place. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you by email and I will be in touch to arrange a date and time that suits you. Closer to the date I will contact you again with all other necessary details. If you have purchased a workshop as a gift for someone, please let me know and I will then forward on to you a printable voucher via email to present as you wish.

Covid-19 Safety Measures

Social distancing will be maintained during your workshop. You will be expected to remain a minimum of one metre away from all other persons at all times. I will always try to choose a good open location where distancing can be carried out sufficiently for the safety of all concerned. As your workshop leader I will happily provide a face mask and also hand sanitiser for the duration. If however you would prefer to use your own then this would also be acceptable.

If you think that you are exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19 within seven to ten days prior to the workshop, however mild or seemingly insignificant, you are respectfully asked to inform me of this and we will rebook your workshop for another time accordingly.

The above measures are in place to help prevent the transmission and subsequent spread of the Covid-19 virus and also to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable workshop within the Dartmoor National Park. Whilst every measure will be taken to minimise risks, no responsibility will be taken if you believe you may have contracted the virus on a workshop. As set out above, if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or believe you may have the virus it is your responsibility to inform me and to seek professional medical advice.

I look forward to hearing from you.

* For your peace of mind certificates for proof of insurance can be produced upon request. Please note that all vouchers are valid for a period of six months only from the date of purchase. Terms and conditions can be found here.
